Sports-mad Snap Franchising will sponsor Aussie off road racing team SMU Racing and an Iron Man athlete this year, to up its visibility in the community in 2014.
The printing network has snapped up the naming rights sponsor position for SMU Racing for the second year in a row, with the team visiting Snap Centres near its racing venues to generate buzz. The SMU crew will travel to a variety of remote locations throughout the year during the 2014 Australian Off Road Championship, and are expected to drive community engagement.
Raeleen Hooper, general manager of franchise services with Snap, says, “Following the success of last year’s relationship with SMU Racing, we are really pleased to be working with the team again and extending our sponsorship through 2014 as they tour across Australia and the US.
“We are always looking for the best marketing platforms to support our constantly growing network of franchisees, and sponsorships give us the opportunity to achieve media coverage on TV, radio and other media, while supporting entrepreneurial high achievers in their chosen fields.”
Snap is also supporting Nathan Smith, Iron Man competitor, as he battles for the Australian Surf Titles and Iron Man Series. Hooper says the Iron Man contest is a good cultural fit for Snap, as well as providing opportunities for television, print, online and social media exposure.
She says, “Snap has a number of passionate Iron Men, Iron Women and triathletes in its network of staff and franchise owners, which has made the team excited to be working with Nathan Smith for the first time. We couldn’t be happier with this year’s sponsorship line up, and the entire Snap team will be cheering for SMU and Nathan throughout 2014.”
Snap says it currently services more than 500,000 business and retail clients, with a turnover of $120m per annum. It has 179 centres across Australia, as well as networks in China, New Zealand and Ireland.
