Roland DG covered thousands of kilometres during its recent roadshows, which saw the Roland team travel to regional areas in northern NSW, Victoria and South Australia.
John Wall, sales director at Roland DG, told Australian Printer that overall the roadshows were a great success. He says, “We visited places that are not seen regularly, and so people who attend were keen, and appreciated us making the trip to offer some free advice and show them some of the latest technology.”
Wall says, “Being regional areas we never expected large numbers, this is what the major metro trade shows are for. However, each event had visitors in double figures, meaning we touched base with more than 100 people on the first nine events, which was a good response.”
Roland started the roadshows to deliver similar services that people in the city might have access to, and to engage with existing Roland users at these events. Most people that attended were sign shops or print companies with Roland DG equipment.
Roland showcased its latest printers, print and cut and engraving technology, a range of creative application samples and solutions along with free technical advice.
Wall says, “There will certainly be more roadshows in the future. In late 2012 we plan to visit areas including the ACT, Western NSW.”
Roland will announce more events in early 2013 for other states.
