Watermarx Technology has released its latest technology to the Australian printing market with the launch of the Cliqx embossing systems for offset and digital printers.
Angela O’Dea, co-owner, Watermarx Technology told Australian Printer, “Cliqx is not about just replacing the existing embossing demand, but expanding the market to allow all printers the ability to offer their existing and new customers the added value of affordable embossing. In an age where printers are looking at putting more than just ink on paper.”
O’Dea says, “Cliqx is a simple system to integrate into lithographic or digital print services.”
The Cliqx embossing system consists of a water washed out male and female photopolymer die set held by a magnetic mound, which can be used on any existing die cutting machines, cylinder or platen.
Alan Fawcett, owner of Sydney based Watermarx Technology told Australian Printer, “Everyone has seen Cliqx in action and is astounded by the quality, speed, ease and above all the costs economics of the system.”
Melbourne litho printer, Andrew Cook of AJC Printing signed up for a Cliqx licence 18 months ago, seeing an opportunity to expand his business offerings. Cook says, “The attractive thing about the product is that it’s an attachment that can get us into a market we weren’t already in, without needing to outsource the work.”
Watermarx Technology is a speciality print shop in Sydney run by Fawcett and O’Dea. It won a Gold and Silver award at the 2012 Picas with a self-promotion piece which used Cliqx.
Fawcett says, “In a time where there is much gloom within the printing industry, is it refreshing to be part of industry growth. Cliqx provides an avenue to grow businesses and Cliqx allows businesses the opportunity to offer new products to their existing and new clients, using existing machinery.”
