The world's leading food processing and packaging company, Tetra Pak, has awarded its Lahore factory in Pakistan, the Factory of the Year Award in recognition of its achievement in operational efficiency, environment and safety performance within two years since it commenced operation.
Ihsanullah Khan, production manager of the newly established Tetra Pak plant at Sundar Industrial Estate says, “I personally rate employees as the main engine of growth for the whole plant operation because it is their input that helps realise the dream of becoming the best in the world.”
Stefan Johansson, managing director, Tetra Pak Pakistan says, "We created a stake in the ground by making this major investment of PKR 10.92bn (92m euros) in Pakistan, and the hard work and dedication of our local people have proved us right. By pursuing continuous improvement in operation, our factory has outperformed previous benchmarks in world class performance and productivity. I am confident that our team will build upon this success and continue to exceed the expectations of our valuable customers.”
The factory started its operation in December, 2010. It was voted the third best factory in 2011 and the Factory of the Year for 2012.
