KBA has announced that Thomas Potzkai take over as head of web press services from Jens Maul, who held the position for just over two years.
Potzkai will combine his new role with his current area of responsibility as vice-president and head of division web presses and project management. after more than two successful years at the helm of web press after-sales
Jens Maul says he leaves the company wanting to concentrate fully on his own firm outside the graphic arts industry.
After joining KBA, Maul restructured web press service activities and reinforced these with additional personnel, as well as introducing new products and services.
Potzkai plans on consistently following Maul’s lead. KBA says Potzkai, with 27 years in the company, has extensive experience in the development and customer support of commercial, gravure and newspaper web presses. The company adds that the bundling of management responsibilities for the areas press scheduling, project management, on-site installation, commissioning, user training up to press acceptance and customer support for the entire service life of web presses should reinforce customer loyalty. Potzkai says he intends to implement experienced project managers in new press activities as heads of customer support in after-sales service.
