AIP to host design and procurement dinner

The Australian Institute of Packaging’s NSW branch will host a technical dinner on Wednesday November 13 to discuss packaging design and the role of procurement in creating value.

Two speakers from Supply Stratagems and Echo Design will present their talks from 6.00pm at Oatlands Golf Course, aiming to debunk some myths and answer attendee’s questions.

Robert Shouldice, founder and director of Supply Stratagems, will explore how procurement interacts within and outside an organisation, the consequences of good and bad procurement and the value it can bring to the table.

The AIP says, “Today’s procurement professionals now influence c-suite executives, guide the modern organisation’s supply base and have titles such as chief procurement officer.

“When Twiggy Forrest, CEO of Fortescue Metals, addresses 1,000 delegates at this year’s annual procurement conference you may wonder why they call themselves the fastest growing profession.”

Mark McNamara, business director at Echo Design, will speak about packaging design and discuss the impact of restrictions on the creative process and whether these limitations help or hinder design.
